Vet to Vet Tennessee is a proud partner of Live Learn Grow lead by founder Lacresha Mckinney who presented the film. VTVT was honored to present the women veterans present with the Freddie J. Owens Women Veterans Summit scarves.
This was an eye opening and unifying day! “Served like a Girl” exposes very important issues that most of us are unaware of. We are blind to the daily struggles many veterans have to reintegrate into civilian life. We have a responsibility to never forget the sacrifice that was given and some continue to give as they struggle to overcome these challenges. This film unites us in the fact that we have a responsibility to honor our veterans. Thank you to those who served! Thank you to those who came and showed their support! Let’s move forward together and join Live Learn Grow in reminding our Veterans, They are not Forgotten. Click here to view more photos of the event. Council members, Sheryn & Don Davis, Cindy Winterberger and Ed Junod hosted a table at the event.
